History Is Coming to the Mountains
As part of America’s 250th anniversary celebration, the Freedom 250 Truck is a traveling museum sharing the story of our nation’s founding across the country — and it’s stopping at the Cole Chevy Mountain Festival May 29th–31st!
The Freedom 250 Truck features interactive exhibits, powerful storytelling, and an experience designed to bring American history to life for all ages.

Quiet Carnival

The Cole Chevy Mountain Festival is excited to once again host the Quiet Carnival in 2026. A special sensory-friendly experience created for individuals with special needs and their families.
For two hours before the festival officially opens, rides and attractions will operate with reduced volume and smaller crowds, providing a calmer and more comfortable environment for children and adults to enjoy the fun of the carnival. The Quiet Carnival allows guests to experience the excitement of the festival in a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere designed with sensory sensitivities in mind.
Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy popular attractions, special entertainment, and community appearances while creating lasting memories with family and friends. The Quiet Carnival continues to be one of the festival’s most meaningful traditions, bringing the community together and ensuring everyone has the chance to experience the joy of the Cole Chevy Mountain Festival.

More than just a costume character, Rock-it is a high tech body puppet. Rock-t projects an array of blue lights through his chest, arms and face. At night, he puts on his own light show. This nine foot tall gentle giant stands head and shoulders above the crowds. Rock-it has a built in sound system for speech and music. Rock-it has an animated face with moving eyes, brows and mouth making him all the more life like. Rock-it's hands and arms are built using a complex system of joints and cables with independently moving fingers.

The Foam Fun Zone at the Cole Chevy Mountain Festival is a favorite for kids and families, featuring music, foam-filled fun, and nonstop excitement. It’s the perfect place for children to cool off, play, and make summer memories during the festival at Bluefield City Park.

Step into a world millions of years in the making and experience dinosaurs like never before. Get up close to lifelike creatures, discover fascinating facts, and enjoy an unforgettable adventure designed for kids and the whole family. Featuring thrilling cavemen performers showcasing acrobatics and juggling, with plenty of audience participation, this immersive show brings the past to life in a fun, interactive way. It’s a journey back in time packed with excitement, learning, and moments everyone will be roaring about.

The Wheels of Death is one of the biggest thrills at the Cole Chevy Mountain Festival, featuring motorcycles racing around the walls of a giant barrel while spectators look down from above. The roaring engines and gravity defying stunts make it a crowd favorite every year.
Enjoy the charm and talent of Little Roy & Lizzie, a dynamic duo known for their incredible musicianship and heartfelt performances. Blending rich harmonies with masterful playing, they bring energy, humor, and authenticity to every show.
